Pipeworx Sponsors Jake Vold – Rodeo Rider
When it comes to bronco busting, Jake Vold has all of the right genes.
The Ponoka cowboy is a member of one of the most famous rodeo families in Canada. His father, Lawrence, is a cattle buyer who used to compete in bareback riding. He’s a third cousin to Canadian Rodeo Hall of Fame stock contractor Wayne Vold and former saddle bronco rider Doug Vold, a six-time qualifier to the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
Vold, 26, began riding broncos when he was about 15 and worked his way up through the high school ranks before competing on the amateur and pro circuits. He has qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo five times.
The pro rodeo trails lead to Calgary once again in 2014. A total of 120 of the world’s top rodeo cowboys and cowgirls have earned their way to the richest outdoor rodeo in the world. The Calgary Stampede Rodeo is a showcase for the rodeo’s elite. The competitors you see earned their way here by being the World’s Best.
Pipeworx Ltd. is ecstatic to sponsor and support Jake’s dream of being a legend in his field. “It is extremely important to Pipeworx to invest back in our local communities, it is more than an honor to be a part of Jake’s quest to be at the top of his game.” said Kelly Gillam, President of Pipeworx, PLH Group Company.
