As an organization that prides itself in having a proactive safety culture, especially on all our Worksites, we have done a very good job of highlighting, assessing and mitigating potential hazards and risk to safety and wellbeing. One area that needs an increased attention is Ergonomics and its associated risks and challenges.
The previous Safety Flash introduced Ergonomics and some of the identified associated risk factors. Office Ergonomics is essential as we have a number of people who are office based that are associated with the delivery of business and services.
Office Ergonomics focuses on how things are set up in your office work space, such as: Your workstation setup, how you sit, and how long you stay in one position. It can help you be more comfortable at work. It can help lower stress and injury caused by awkward positions and repetitive tasks.
